Single and Dual Channel Pressure Transducer

Print page

The EPS is a series of pressure transducers for monitoring and controlling the differential air pressure in comfort ventilation systems.

EPS is engineered with a focus on reliability and durability, making it the optimum selection when the focus is on life cycle cost rather than on the installation cost.

Designed for installation directly at the location where pressure is to be measured, the installation of the EPS is made as easy as possible, with space inside the enclosure for proper mounting of the cables.

The EPS series has been developed to give our costumers an advantageous combination of high quality, accurate control and low life cycle costs.

FUNCTIONS

No Risk of Dirt Related Defects
EPS consists of semi-conductor-based pressure elements, which ensure stable and accurate measurements. As the pressure directly affects the pressure elements and because there is no air passage through the pressure element, the risk of defects caused by dirt is very small.

Temperature Compensated Output
The µ-processor based electronic system of the EPS ensures an accurate output signal. With the built-in temperature compensations changes in temperature have only a small impact on the accuracy of the output signal.

Dual Channel Transducer
In many installations it is required to measure two different differential pressures in almost the same location, e.g. pressure drop across a filter and the ductwork pressure. For these applications the EPS-32 is available with two independent channels in one enclosure, making installation simpler and less expensive.

Flexible Design
The EPS series can be configured to match the settings of any controller. With eight available pressure ranges and the option of selecting between 0-10VDC and 0(4)-20mA a single transducer covers a large range of applications making installation much simpler and saving space in the back of the car.
Through simple DIP-switch settings inside the enclosure, the selection between the eight available pressure ranges and the requested output signal is handled easily. The settings are done individually for each channel in the EPS-32.

Clear Visual Troubleshooting
Inside the EPS enclosure there are three LED diodes located. The combination of these diodes gives a clear indication of the operation mode of the EPS transducer. Modes indicated include operation, zero calibration, internal error and start-up.

Remote Calibration
The EPS is equipped with a reset button inside the enclosure. Pushing this button will initiate a calibration of the transducer. For the EPS-32 both channels will be calibrated at the same time.
An external switch can also be used to initiate calibration of the transducer, thereby avoiding the need to open the transducer when calibration is required, which is usually every half year.

CE MARKING

The EPS series meets the requirements of the below standards.

MOUNTING

The EPS is mounted on the wall.
The pressure outlet is connected in such a way that the largest pressure goes to PA+ and the smallest pressures goes to PA–.
Tube length should not exceed 10 m, and the tube must be fastened in such a way that it cannot move freely. If the tube vibrates this may influence the pressure signal.
