Thermostat control:
Recommended for electrical underfloor heating with 15-30 mm concreting. This type of system makes special demands on the control, as the heating cable is mounted close to the floor surface.
Type OEC is with a time-proportional control where the pulse/pause proportion is adjusted according to the current heating requirement. Triac control results in the system always having a stable and comfortable floor temperature. In order to minimize electrical noise the supply is regulated in the zero point of the sine curve. An LED behind the cover will turn on when heating is on.
This noiseless function furthermore makes the thermostat suitable for mounting in sleeping rooms and bathrooms close to sleeping rooms and in other rooms with requirement for noiseless thermostat function.

Adjustment of the thermostat:
To assist the setting of comfort temperature the thermostat is supplied with an LED, which indicates when heating is on. The LED is only visible through the opening of the thermostat. By means of locking rings, which are placed behind the thermostat button, min./max. temperature setting can be selected.

MOUNTING
Mounting of thermostat:
1 Flush mounting in standard wall socket.
2 In combination with light switch types Busch-Jaeger, Merten, Ensto and Eljo. Relevant type double frame is used.
3 Surface wall mounting with baseplate type OTN-VH.

Type OEC should be mounted with free air circulation around it. The opening at the top of the thermostat must not be covered. Sunlight and any other direct heating outlet must be avoided, as this may reduce the max. heat output.

Type of temperature sensor:
Type of OEC is delivered incl. floor sensor. Remote room sensor can be mounted.

Mounting of floor sensor:
Floor sensor is used for comfort heating of floor. The sensor is mounted in conduit of consideration to replacement. The conduit is placed between heating cables and ended towards the floor surface. If required, the floor sensor may be extended up to 100 m with a standard installation cable.

Mounting of room sensor:
Room sensor is used for room heating. It is mounted approx. 1.6 m above the floor. Draught, direct sunlight or any other direct heating outlet must be avoided. Room sensor type ETF-944/99-H is mounted instead of floor sensor.
