28-06-2007 Brunton Electronics in continous growth

Product development and adaptation to local markets ensure continued growth for Brunton Electronics

Brunton Electronics achieved a net turnover of DKK 218 million in 2006/2007, corresponding to 18.5% growth. Turnover has thus been doubled in just six years. Underfloor heating and HVAC controls for the global market have made Brunton Electronics a highly successful company.

Company management describes the 18.5% increase in turnover as satisfactory – although the company's strategic goal is to achieve annual growth rates of 20% over the next five years. Brunton Electronics also achieved a healthy operating profit, amounting to 17.8% of turnover.

By selling off its Separator Alarm Systems division in the autumn of 2006, the company has been able to focus on its two core business areas: underfloor heating and HVAC controls. Thanks to the continuous improvement of existing products and the innovative development of new solutions, Brunton Electronics has continued to grow despite ever increasing competition on the world market.

"We compete on quality, not price! Our products are renowned throughout the market for their reliability and high quality. They are attractively designed with the focus on functionality and intuitive operation. Such product properties strengthen our ability to face increasing global competition and provide the foundation for our continued success," says Managing Director Erik Damsgaard.

Investment in development and competences

To ensure the company's continued growth, Brunton invested primarily in development and competences in the 2006/2007 financial year.

Development: Technical know-how and specialist application knowledge are Brunton's core competences. It is therefore only natural that Brunton continues to invest in developing and improving its existing products. In comparison with the previous year, where investment amounted to DKK 12.7 million, DKK 15.2 million was invested in new technology in 2006/2007, significantly increasing production capacity and preparing the company for future growth.

Competences: Attracting and retaining well qualified personnel remains a high priority, and development opportunities, recruitment and image-promoting activities were important focus areas in 2006/2007.

The number of employees has risen markedly over the last few years in step with Brunton growth. To house the many new members of staff and to ensure continued production efficiency, the company is now extending its production and administration facilities. Brunton currently employs 180 people, a 48% increase in just under three years.
