Function
ORC output regulator
Type ORC is a time-proportional triac regulator for infinitely variable control of required heat output with a cycle time of 4 sec.
The required pulse/pause time can be infinitely set from 1 to 10, which means that in pos. 5 the heat element will be switched on for approx. 2 sec. and switched out for approx. 2 sec.

Example
If a 1000W heating cable in installed in a bathroom floor and the ORC is set on 5, the regulator will switch full output on (1000W) for 2 sec. and out for 2 sec. This means that the average heat energy will be 500W.

Location of ORC 
ORC-1000H is placed on the wall with free air circulation around it. Fan openings in the top of the cover should not be covered. Furthermore it should be placed where it is not influenced by any other heating sources (e.g. the sun), as this may reduce the max. heat output.

Light diodes
Light diode behind the cover, only visible through the fan opening in the top of the cover. Glows red when heat is required.

Adjustment of required heating level
Switch on the built-in 2-pole switch on the front. ORC has a setting range from 1-10, corresponding to 10 to 100% of output. Turn up the regulator until the required temperature has been achieved.

Max./Min. setting
Behind the setting knop there is a locking mechanism. By loosening a small screw the heating can be locked between 1 and 10. The blue ring is for min. setting and the red ring for max. setting.
